The difference between AED and manual defibrillator

AED(Automated External Defibrillator) is not necessarily used in hospitals, it is normally used in shopping malls, airports and other public places, and can be operated by non-doctors (trained)

Pads (disposable electrodes for defibrillation, cost more than 200 RMB) are specially used in AED machines, which are automatic defibrillation or semi-automatic defibrillation. The energy level is attached to the Pads by you, and the machine automatically analyzes and judges how many joules of energy to use (there will be voice prompts). AEDs generally use non-rechargeable batteries, which can be stored for three years and can be defibrillated approximately 200 times. Buy new batteries when they run out.

Manual defibrillation is a machine that can use rechargeable batteries and AC power. The machine requires the doctor to judge how many joules of energy to pump according to the patient's weight and condition, and then shock the person with the PADDLES (paddle, stainless steel electrode, which can be used permanently). The paddles are composite and can be used for children and adults. Manual defibrillation must be performed by a doctor and is hospital grade. It can be used for hospital and field first aid.

Manual defibrillation can also increase the AED function, which is equivalent to removing the shell, power supply, etc. of the AED machine and dissolving it in the manual defibrillation machine.

AED generally has a maximum energy of 200J, and manual defibrillation is generally 360J.
